Retail giant Best Buy has just added listings for three new iPad models, all Wi-Fi and all “coming soon.” Could these be for models of the iPad 2?
Someone at Best Buy could be fooling around with us, but these SKUs that showed up on their site today sure make it look like they’re going to be getting some new iPad models in the near future. All three coming models are Wi-Fi only, indicating they’re not the Verizon CDMA iPads expected soon.
Two of the units are priced at $599.99, with a third at $699.99. Does this mean there won’t be a Wi-Fi model for $499.00 this time around? Well, Apple has to pay for that higher-res screen and extra memory somehow. The SKUs are numbered 1945674, 1945595 and 1945531, but they could just be used as place-keepers for items to come.
