The Apple upgrade iOS 4.3 just keeps giving us more info on what we can expect from future products like the iPad 2 and iPhone 5. The latest details seem to confirm what we’ve been hearing about the iPad 2 having a camera—or two.
Several sources have delved deeply into the beta SDK for iOS 4.3 and found evidence that indicates the iPad 2 will include at least one camera. These photos of the camera app show the same shutter screen currently in use on the iPhone 4 and iPod Touch, plus camera roll icons for pictures and videos. The shutter images open up to 1024 x 768, the same resolution as the first iPad.
Will those hoping for higher resolution this time around be disappointed? Maybe, or possibly this could change on a later version of the upgrade. What we don’t know yet is whether there will be one camera or two on the next gen iPad. Most of the rumors so far point to a front facing camera for videoconferencing plus one at the back for taking photos.
